If nobody under 18 is sailing, Virgin Voyages is the adults-only line Coco matches from PortMiami. That is 18 to sail, not 21.
A mixed family ship from Miami — Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, MSC — still has kids’ clubs, early dinner seatings, and pools that close around families. You can be a couple on those ships. You will not have an 18+ ship.
The sailing Coco plants first
Resilient Lady, Sunday 28 February 2027, 7 nights Western Caribbean and Bimini Beach Club from PortMiami. Space is not held. The named group on that week is Eight Balconies. Coco does not claim group space is held.
Bimini Beach Club is Virgin’s island day. It is not CocoCay. Do not book this week because a brochure said Bahamas and you meant a Royal water park.
When a mixed ship is actually the fit
If any child is in the party, Virgin is out. Full stop. Then we are on Carnival, Royal, NCL, or MSC, and Miami may or may not be the door — driving from Orlando is Port Canaveral.
If the party is 18+ and you still want a big-ship show, a mixed Miami ship is a preference, not the default. Tell Coco that on purpose. Do not let a “there are kids somewhere on board” surprise show up at the gangway.
Miami is not Fort Lauderdale
Virgin is Miami-only in this window. Fort Lauderdale is Royal, Disney, Celebrity, and Princess — not Carnival, NCL, MSC, or Virgin. Celebrity can be atmosphere. It is not the 18+ SKU Coco leads with.
What I will not do on this page
I will not invent a fare or a cabin hold. I will not tell you a mixed ship is “practically adults-only” after 9 PM. Confirm 18+. Confirm Miami is the port you can use. Then a human looks up live inventory if you ask.
