Three cabins Coco will not recommend
Visible without an email. For a first cruise Coco will not put you in the dark, behind a lifeboat, or on a mega-ship in peak season with kids under 12 unless you ask for that energy on purpose.
-
1. Inside with no natural light
A first cruise is already a new sleeping room. Coco will not start you in a cabin with no window if a different category is the honest fit. Ask before you assume “inside is fine.”
-
2. Obstructed-view balcony
A balcony you cannot see the water from is not the first-cruise balcony people picture. Coco will not recommend it as the “balcony deal.”

3. Mega-ship in peak season with kids under 12
Icon-class and Excel-class ships can be the right week — Star of the Seas on 17 January 2027 is still the planted CocoCay family sailing. Coco will not default a family with young kids onto a 6,000-passenger ship in peak season unless you ask for that energy on purpose. Tell Coco the kids’ ages first.
Optional: email the guide notes
The three no’s are already on this page. Leave a name and email only if you want Fit Notes.
